The student body president and a third-year student, Satoshi attracts the attention of many girls but is solely interested in Meiko. He attempts to win her affection, hoping she will forget Na-chan. However, his crude sense of humor and perceived irresponsibility make Meiko view him as a playboy, which strains their relationship. They date for a while, but Meiko cannot overcome her feelings for Na-chan. After several failed attempts to make her forget Na-chan, particularly following the Hiroshima arc, Satoshi realizes he has no chance with Meiko and ceases his romantic pursuit, choosing to remain friends instead.
Satoshi is the first to notice Yuu's interest in architecture and initially acts strangely towards Yuu, leading both Yuu and Miki to suspect that he might be gay and have a crush on Yuu. Satoshi uses this suspicion to his advantage. Eventually, they come to an understanding, and Satoshi helps Yuu investigate the true identity of his biological father, suspecting that Yoshimitsu might be the candidate. It is later revealed that Yoshimitsu is not Yuu's father, but despite this, Satoshi and Yuu remain best friends.
