Sarutobi Sasuke is a young ninja, one of the three members of the Sanada Juuyuushi, prominently featured in Samurai Deeper Kyo. Despite being only 12 years old, he is highly skilled with a sword. He originally lived in Aokigahara, a forest filled with failed constructs of the Mibu, alongside his friend Kotarou, who later became Makora of the Juunishinshou. As a resident of the Forest, Sasuke possesses enhanced strength and abilities, along with distinctive golden eyes.
He participated in most of Yukimura's schemes but was excluded from Yukimura's deception against the Mibu clan to ensure even Sasuke believed in his apparent betrayal, making the ruse more convincing.
Sasuke initially wielded a Muramasa blade identical to Kyo's Tenrou, one of Muramasa's four masterpieces. However, after this sword cracked during a duel with Demon Eyes Kyo, he received the Shibien, the oldest of Muramasa's Four Masterpieces. Although the Shibien blade is notoriously bloodthirsty and required chains to prevent it from turning on its wielder, it serves Sasuke obediently. Sasuke has control over lightning techniques, including Raikoken, which electrifies his sword; Thunder Fire, which summons a bolt of lightning to strike an enemy; Thunder Flower Storm, which brings down multiple lightning bolts around him and his foe; Thunder Net, which traps enemies in a web of lightning; and Thunder Tail, which connects his lightning to his sword for lethal strikes. His ultimate technique, Kirin, creates a lightning-winged Pegasus that incinerates everything it touches upon returning to heaven.
Additionally, during several battles, Sasuke is seen to have the same red eyes as Kyo.
