Mibu Kyoushirou's personality starkly contrasts with that of the series' main character, Demon Eyes Kyou. Initially awkward and humorous at the start of the adventure, Mibu Kyoushirou is later revealed to be a formidable warrior known as "the Demon-God," the only one who has ever defeated Kyou. Kyoushirou possesses the unique ability to transfer human souls, which he uses to place Kyou's soul within his own body while concealing Kyou's physical form. He has a dark past involving the murder of many, including Shiina Nozomu, the brother of Shiina Yuya. As a high-ranking member of the Mibu clan, Kyoushirou excels in swordsmanship and is considered the best swordsman of his clan. He is proficient in the techniques of the Mumyou Jinpu Ryuu and was once the owner of the Shibien, one of Muramasa’s Devil Swords.
In terms of skill and potential, Kyoushirou ranks equal to Kyo and just below the former Crimson King. His primary desire is to protect Sakuya, whom he loves, along with Kyou before the Battle of Sekigahara. Throughout the manga, it is evident that he has always been in love with Sakuya, and Kyou is a cherished friend who cares deeply for both of them. Kyoushirou also holds significant affection for Yuya, expressing a willingness to do anything to safeguard her, even stating he won't let Kyou have her. Sasuke notes how tenderly Kyoushirou looks at Yuya, as seen in Chapter 234.
Mibu Kyoushirou is one of the Red Cross Knights, created from the flesh and blood of the former Aka no Ou. Despite being a killing machine, he had a kind heart, which became more apparent under Sakuya's influence. He mastered the Mumyo Jinpu Ryuu Satsujin Ken and wielded the Shibien, killing numerous people until the sword turned black from absorbing too much blood. By the end of the manga, it is shown that Kyoushirou lives with Sakuya and visits Yuya and Kyou regularly.
