An accomplished male model, Akira is the son of the photographer who hires Tohya and "Tatsuki." He works with them during their first photo shoot and immediately dislikes Tohya due to his appearance and lack of emotion in his poses. Although he doesn't realize that Tatsuki is actually Kiri posing as a boy when they first meet, Akira becomes attracted to Tatsuki and kisses "him" after Tatsuki apologizes for punching Akira, which happened right after Akira insulted Tohya. Akira described Tatsuki as somewhat "girly" and "cute."
Akira later becomes attracted to Kiri when he encounters her on the street without her disguise. Initially, Akira's interest in Tatsuki/Kiri was just playful, but eventually, he falls in love with her. Even though Akira knows that Tatsuki is actually Kiri, he chooses not to reveal this knowledge. Despite his persistent advances towards Kiri, she consistently rejects his offers.
