The story's protagonist, Kiri, is a 14-year-old girl referred to as a "prince" due to her masculine appearance inherited from her fashion model father. With her high-set eyes, broad shoulders, short hair that won't grow long, and a height of 5'9", Kiri declared at the age of four that she would become an even prettier princess than Tohya, so she could marry him one day. She has never confessed her feelings for Tohya because of her insecurities about her looks. To protect Tohya from those who might want to take advantage of or hurt him, Kiri secretly enters the world of fashion modeling under the pseudonym Tatsuki, posing as a boy. Most of Kiri's admirers are girls, which only complicates things further.
