Macao Conbolt's son, Romeo, faced constant bullying due to his father being a member of the Fairy Tail Guild. Desperate to improve his image, Romeo pleaded with his father to take on an "amazing job." When Macao failed to return for a week, Romeo feared the worst and begged Makarov to send help. After Makarov refused, Natsu Dragneel, accompanied by Happy and Lucy Heartfilia, set out to find him. Upon their return, Romeo was overjoyed to see his father alive.
Following the Tenrou Island arc and the seven-year time skip, Romeo is depicted as a proficient fire magic user, much like his father and Natsu. He even starts adopting some of Natsu's fashion choices. Romeo has mastered various forms of fire magic, including Purple Fire that adheres to objects, Blue Fire with cold properties, Yellow Fire known for its foul odor, Rainbow Fire which combines all colors before exploding, Purple Flare—a variant of Purple Fire impervious to water and wind—and Purple Net, which manifests as ropes.
