renrin

Renrin is the Kirin of the kingdom of Ren. She is portrayed as a cheerful young woman who looks around eighteen years old. Unlike her master, she exhibits very proper and refined behavior. In her debut in the series, Renrin is approached by Lady Gyokuyo of the sages of Mount Hou to borrow the royal treasure of Ren, a bracelet known as the gogoukanda. This bracelet can open a portal to Hourai without causing a shoku, making it crucial for bringing Taiki back to the Twelve Kingdoms. Due to her role in facilitating Taiki's return to the Twelve Kingdoms, Gyousou sends Taiki to Ren on a diplomatic mission to express gratitude. Both Renrin and her king, Seitaku, develop a fondness for Taiki. However, instability within their own kingdom limits their chances to see Taiki or engage with other kingdoms. Despite these challenges, Renrin and Seitaku readily offer Renrin's assistance and the use of the gogoukanda again when Taiki goes missing following a civil war in Tai.
