One of Raizen's old friends, Enki is somewhat slow-witted but incredibly powerful. He emerges victorious in the demon world tournament and becomes the sole king of the demon world after defeating Mukuro, who had exhausted most of her power fighting Natsumi, another one of Raizen's old friends. As king, he announces that another tournament will be held in three years to determine his successor. He also declares that no mischief will be allowed in the human world during his reign, as a tribute to Raizen. Consequently, the barrier between the worlds is dismantled, allowing demons free access to the human world, although they cannot cause any harm there. Enki is married to Koko, another one of Raizen's old friends.
