Rei is a student at Meisho Number 1 High School and is widely known as "#1" after being featured in a magazine as the coolest and most handsome teenage boy in the area. He shares a close friendship with Yuya. Despite his typically cold and distant demeanor, Rei shows warmth towards Aya and often finds himself irritated by Ran. He struggles to express his emotions, especially towards Aya.
Initially, Rei began dating Aya out of pity and because Ran had asked him to, even though he harbored feelings for Ran. However, as time passed, his feelings for Ran faded, and he eventually fell in love with Aya.
