R. Dorothy Wayneright serves as Roger's assistant. She bears a resemblance to Dorothy Soldano, the daughter of wealthy scientist Miguel Soldano, but it is later revealed that she is an android created by him. Her true "father" is Timothy Wayneright, who commissioned her creation and was the father of the real Dorothy Wayneright. To express her gratitude and as a form of repayment for Roger's assistance, she decides to live with him and help Norman with the household chores. Dorothy has developed a habit of playing a fast Chopin piece whenever Roger oversleeps, which he finds to be an irritating way to start his day. As an android, Dorothy lacks the ability to experience human emotions. Because of this, Roger frequently seeks her opinion on various topics. Not only does Dorothy's perspective remain unaffected by human emotions and unbiased, but it also allows Roger to gain a deeper understanding of her complexity.
