Presea is the leading blacksmith in Cephiro, known locally as a Pharle or "artisan." She is one of Clef's students and seems to have a crush on him. Presea assisted the Magic Knights by forging their legendary Escudo swords.
In both the anime and manga series, she displays a sadistic streak, devising punishments for Mokona after he makes a mess in her study. These include yanking his ears, hanging him upside-down while she dances around him dressed as a Native American, and trying to pry his eyes open. When her trap mistakenly captures the Magic Knights, she considers stretching their cheeks or boiling them in a pot, again wearing a feathered headdress and performing a war dance. In the anime, she is killed by one of Ascot's beast summons, creating a significant plot hole.
In the anime version of the second series, her twin sister, Sierra, steps in to correct this plot hole by posing as Presea. Only Clef, Mokona, and Alcyone realize that Sierra is not Presea. Alcyone suspects Sierra's deception partly stems from her love for Clef. When confronted by Clef, Sierra explains that she impersonates her sister to help the Knights with their mission and continue Presea's legacy but does not reveal her feelings for him.
Presea's favorite food is listed as V-tek, a type of candy from Cephiro. However, she also enjoys the Earth candy given to her by Hikaru almost as much.
