caldina

Caldina is a dancer known for her Osaka accent, which is translated as a deep Southern accent in the English dub, complete with phrases like "y'all." She wears very revealing clothing and has an insatiable love for money, drawing several parallels to Naga from Slayers.

Zagato hires her as an assassin after his other minions fail. Besides her dancing skills, Caldina is also a talented illusionist and hypnotist. In the anime, she shows great affection for Ascot, whom she treats like a naive younger brother, and she joins him in deserting Zagato.

In the second manga series, it is revealed that Caldina is originally from Chizeta. She is also shown to be exceptionally skilled at card games and other games of chance. Romantically, Caldina becomes involved with Lafarga in both the manga and anime versions of the series.
