A resident of Rush Valley, she lost her legs and right arm in a train accident at a young age. Dominic, moved by her plight, provided her with free automail limbs, including legs that allow her to run swiftly and jump far distances. One leg contains a concealed cannon, while the other houses a long switchblade.
She assists Ed, Al, and Winry in meeting Dominic, as per Winry's request. Initially, Paninya made a living by pickpocketing tourists in Rush Valley. However, after a conversation with Winry, she realized that continuing her criminal activities would undermine Dominic's intentions for her. She now works various legitimate odd jobs around Garfiel's shop.
In the anime, Paninya also has an automail arm, which gets damaged during an arm wrestling contest. It is implied that Dominic adopted her after she lost her limbs in the train crash. During a chase with Edward, she was seen taking his pocket watch to a pawn shop, though this was likely part of a scheme orchestrated by Winry due to Ed cheating in an automail competition. Since she is often seen in Dominic’s shop, it can be assumed that she might work for him.
At the end of the anime, she is seen helping Winry perfect her skills. In the manga, Paninya only has prosthetic legs, one equipped with a carbine rifle and the other with a blade, both crafted by Dominic. Initially, she tried to repay Dominic for her automail by stealing from tourists, but he always refused her stolen money. After reforming her ways, she becomes a roofer, and Dominic begins to reluctantly accept her earnings.
