Another one of Yukiteru's classmates, Ouji, was present in Yukki and Yuno's classroom during the previous semester. He was among the first to betray Yukiteru during the terrorist bombing incident. Ouji keeps a record of his most notable achievements on a blog he calls the "Kousaka King Diary," frequently ending each entry with the phrase "I'm Shining!"
Owing to his frequent blogging on his cellphone, which is linked to the Eighth's diary, he becomes a "Diary Holder Apprentice." His diary assists him in saving his friends, but it only displays his successes, not his failures. This flaw allows Yuno to shoot him with a crossbow. Since he inadvertently functions as the Eighth's spy, Yukki destroys his diary in chapter twenty-seven. However, Ouji does not die because his diary was not a true future diary.
