Novali (ノバーリ Nobāri) is a Mage from the Quatro Cerberus guild and a member of its team participating in the X791 Grand Magic Games. On the third day of the event, he is selected to represent Quatro Cerberus in the day's competition. The task involves defeating monsters of varying difficulty levels to earn points and advance.

However, Erza Scarlet single-handedly completes the event, astonishing everyone present. During the Magic Power Finder segment, Novali strikes the MPF after Millianna, scoring 124 points but ends up feeling disappointed with his performance.
