Oddish is a Pokémon that looks like a blue plant bulb or a root vegetable. It has a round body, small red eyes, a tiny mouth, and oval-shaped feet. Five large, green leaves grow from its head. These leaves are flexible and can be used to climb vertical surfaces and catch light objects, as shown in the anime. Known scientifically as Oddium Wanderus, Oddish resides in grasslands.
A nocturnal Pokémon, Oddish buries its sensitive body underground during daylight hours to avoid sunlight and deceive predators. If someone pulls its leaves while it's buried, it reacts by letting out a terrible scream. The Pokémon starts moving when its leaves absorb moonlight, which aids its growth. At night, Oddish can travel up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) to spread its seeds and find nutrient-rich soil for planting itself. The richer the soil, the shinier its leaves become. It is believed that its feet resemble tree roots when planted.
Evolution
Oddish evolves into Gloom, which then evolves into either Vileplume or Bellossom.
