Overview
Natsumi is a short-tempered girl who is extremely athletic, cute, and intelligent. She can be very intimidating and violent when angry, but also sweet and brave. She can be sarcastic and careless at times, especially when enjoying herself, and is a big video game fan. Despite this, she deeply cares for her family and her surrogate alien "family" members. Natsumi is popular in school due to her remarkable strength, but in grade school, she was nicknamed 'Devil Summer' because of her short temper until she matured in middle school. Like any other 14-year-old girl, she has insecurities, particularly around Saburo, whom she has a huge crush on, and she has a girly side. Natsumi seems to have a city-girl side, as seen when downtown Tokyo faced a power surge on an incredibly hot summer day, she looked desperate and cried for help. She enjoys listening to Mutsumi's radio show but often gets interrupted when trying to listen to her letters. At school, she's friends with Yayori, Satsuki, and especially Koyuki, showing her around Tokyo. She rivals with Keroro and calls him 'boke kaeru' (stupid frog), though she once called him by his real name after he defeated her in a swimming contest. Ironically, she was the first to discover Keroro, hiding in Fuyuki’s bedroom wall. Initially suspicious of Keroro and his squad (except Mois), she eventually got used to them, treating Keroro as both a friend and a slave, assigning him most house chores. She developed feelings for Giroro and later received a neck brace from Kururu that transforms her into a powerful Gundam-like figure. Her favorite food is baked sweet potatoes, and her weakness is anything creepy-crawly, especially slugs. Natsumi's name means '723' and 'summer beauty.' She has 'summer' written in English on her bedroom door and is part of the kaito team 'MorePeachSummerSnow.'
