saburo mutsumi

Classmate of Natsumi, known as Mutsumi Hojo in the manga and Saburo in the anime. He is a poet, artist, and philosopher who frequently skips classes. Mutsumi has his own radio show that Natsumi listens to regularly. His partner is Sergeant Major Kururu, who provided him with a magical pen capable of bringing any drawing to life. In the manga, their first encounter occurred when Kururu attempted to take control of Saburo's schoolmates. The duo shares a strong bond due to their similar wavelengths. Saburo is a prodigy, having scored a perfect 300 on an IQ test, and he excels in sports as well. Despite his talents, he struggles to connect with his classmates, particularly the boys. Although highly intelligent and observant, he remains oblivious to Natsumi's feelings for him. Whenever he gets close to Natsumi, he is often pushed away by the jealous Giroro. Mutsumi also makes appearances in the anime series "Seven of Seven." His nickname originates from a form of Japanese wordplay involving numbers.
