Avdol is a serious individual who openly expresses his emotions and possesses a wealth of knowledge. He is highly dedicated, even to the point of being willing to sacrifice his life for his comrades. Serving as a sort of advisor, he is also a formidable warrior. Among the team members, Avdol is the most balanced: not as impulsive and hot-blooded as Polnareff and Joseph, yet not as cold as Kakyoin and Jotaro. He often acts as the voice of reason within the group.
Tragically, Avdol meets his end at the hands of Vanilla Ice's Stand, Cream. After saving Polnareff and Iggy from an attack by Cream, he loses both of his arms and is ultimately erased from existence when he is pulled into Cream's void.
