Mr. Bear is a mute, living stuffed bear residing in the Northern Woods. He is often simply called "Bear." Despite his adorable appearance, he has a short temper and tends to lash out at any stranger who approaches him. He seems to take particular pleasure in roughing up Mikan.
Later in the story, it is revealed that Bear was created by Kaname, a friend of Tsubasa's who frequently stays in the hospital due to his limitless shape Alice. When Kaname falls gravely ill and is hospitalized again, Mr. Bear tries to escape and visit him, hoping to return his soul to Kaname so that he can recover.
Over time, Mr. Bear starts to develop a liking for Mikan and even goes as far as saving her from those who wish to harm her.
