Keiichi's younger sister, Megumi, is an engineering student at the Nekomi Institute of Technology (NIT), just like her brother. She is a highly skilled mechanic who once tied with Skuld in a robot-building contest. In the manga, she is depicted as an excellent motorcycle rider, though she admits that Keiichi and Belldandy are better than her. The OVA hints at her joining the Motor Club, but in the manga, movie, and TV series, she is actually part of the softball club. In the manga, she becomes known as the "queen" of local bike racers, a title she dislikes but lives up to by consistently beating the previous queen on her way to school. In the movie, Keiichi refers to her as "The Queen of Drag Racing."
Megumi recently reappeared at the temple drunk after being dumped for the third time, breaking down in tears in front of Keiichi. Her ex-boyfriends couldn't handle the pressure of dating a local celebrity. This mirrors an earlier scene where Sayoko Mishima appeared drunk near the temple, falling into Keiichi's arms after feeling abandoned by everyone in favor of Belldandy.
Megumi generally behaves like a typical teenager but with a mature outlook on life. However, she can sometimes act childishly, making silly remarks and engaging in playful competition. Her main focus seems to be personal advancement, though she isn't overly obsessed with it. Instead, this manifests as a strong work ethic, and she holds several club positions at her college. Belldandy has noted similarities between Megumi and Skuld, suggesting that Skuld could learn from Megumi. Megumi also struggles with rejection and appears to have tendencies towards alcoholism, especially evident after her recent breakup.
Megumi shows a protective side towards Keiichi, often expressed through teasing. Despite not admitting it openly, she deeply respects both Keiichi and Belldandy's mechanical abilities. Currently, Megumi is unaware of Belldandy's status as a goddess or the divine nature of her two sisters.
