Megu is a frail girl with a congenital heart condition in the anime, though her illness is unspecified in the manga. She serves as Suigintou's medium and resides in a hospital room, constantly attended by nurses. Megu holds a pessimistic view of life and often prays for an "Angel of Death" to end her suffering. She feels like a burden on her parents, whom she believes are "guilty" for bringing her into the world. Initially, she mistakes Suigintou for the "Angel of Death" she has been hoping for and asks Suigintou to kill her by siphoning off her energy. Despite her general apathy and occasional contempt for life, Megu is quite needy and increasingly craves Suigintou's presence, even throwing tantrums when Suigintou is absent. Megu's blatant disrespect towards her father shocks Suigintou, who would never exhibit such behavior towards her own "Father." Megu appears not only in the manga but also in the anime series "Rozen Maiden träumend" and briefly in "Rozen Maiden öuverture."
