Weezing is a purple Pokémon made up of two spherical heads linked by a thin tube with an additional sphere in the center. The heads vary in size and features. The left head is larger, showcasing prominent eyebrows, pointed teeth jutting from its lower jaw, and two flat teeth on its upper jaw. The smaller right head only has two pointed teeth, one at each corner of its mouth. The larger head bears a cream-colored skull-and-crossbones marking beneath its face, whereas the smaller head has a ring marking instead. This Pokémon is covered with numerous geyser-like protrusions that emit mustard-colored gases. Weezing is believed to form when poisonous gases accumulate over time, causing two Koffing to fuse. In rare instances, two Koffing can rapidly become a Weezing due to sudden mutations. Triplet Weezing have been observed, although they are exceptionally rare.
Each of Weezing's heads contains distinct toxins. It blends its gases by inflating one head while deflating the other. When these gases mix, Weezing becomes more toxic and foul-smelling. Similar to Koffing, Weezing can hover midair, likely due to lighter-than-air gases. Despite its stench and poisonous nature, Weezing's gases can be used to create high-quality perfume if sufficiently diluted.
Weezing resides in urban areas, preferring dirty and unkempt houses for nesting. At night, while residents sleep, it scavenges through trash. Weezing feeds on dust, microorganisms, and particularly the gases emitted by garbage and toxic waste. Its body expands and emits a stronger odor upon inhaling poisonous gases. The Kantonian Weezing was once common in Galar, producing more potent toxins than its Galarian counterparts.
Forms
Weezing has a regional variant: Galarian Weezing. In the Galar region, its appearance has evolved due to absorbing polluted air from factories. It now has a gray body with the skull, crossbones, and ring patterns colored yellow. Both heads sport hat-like tubes on top, constantly releasing purified air. Five puffs of green poison gas clouds float around it, partially covering its faces: the larger head has a mustache-like cloud above its lip, while the smaller head has eyebrow- and beard-shaped clouds.
Galarian Weezing consumes particles from polluted air, expelling clean air rather than waste. The toxins within its body transform into poison gas clouds that leak and drift around it. These gases serve as its primary weapon in battle, capable of stunning and immobilizing opponents with just a whiff. Galarian Weezing preys on Trubbish for the fumes it produces.
Evolution
Weezing evolves from Koffing. In Galar, there is a regional form of Weezing that also evolves from Koffing.
