A demon exorcist and Souichiro's mother, she was once a test subject in Souhaku's experiment, whom she claimed to be her husband. During the experiment, she absorbed all the unique powers of the founding families, except for the Natsume's dragon eyes. Her body was considered too weak for Souhaku's ultimate goal, so he transferred all the information about the powers she had absorbed into her eye. He then removed her left eye and transplanted it into Tetsuhito, granting him those powers. Souhaku also took her left arm.
She tried to raise Souichiro as normally as possible while continuing her duties as an exorcist. When Souichiro was accepted into Todo Academy, she wept, foreseeing that the resonance effect would likely awaken his latent powers. As Souichiro and Aya's abilities began to manifest, she arranged for former family heads to train and guide them. She kept watch over them using one of her powers, which is why she knew Souichiro's dragon spirit would go out of control during his fight with Mataza.
Arriving just in time, she absorbed Souichiro's dragon spirit before it could destroy him, but this act cost her remaining arm. She recovered from her injuries with Yorihira in a remote mountain hut, but has since returned and is now learning to use her robotic arms under Jushi's guidance.
