Laxus Dreyar is a 23-year-old S-Class mage affiliated with the Fairy Tail guild. He is the grandson of Makarov Dreyar, the master of Fairy Tail, and the son of Ivan Dreyar.
Laxus excels in Lightning Magic, enabling him to produce, control, and manipulate lightning and electricity at will. This magic allows him to generate lightning from his body and summon it from various locations to surprise his enemies. By generating electricity on different parts of his body, he enhances his melee attacks and gains extra momentum for movement. The bright light from his lightning can temporarily blind opponents. Additionally, similar to other elemental magics, Lightning Magic lets Laxus transform his body into lightning to dodge enemy attacks, move swiftly, and strike any opponent in his path. When he was young, Ivan Dreyar implanted a Lightning Dragon's Lacrima into Laxus' body, granting him Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic. This also enables him to change his skin into dragon scales and perform exclusive Dragon Slayer techniques like the Lightning Dragon's Roar.
In the manga, Laxus has orange/dark yellow eyes, whereas in the anime, they are depicted as greenish blue.
