shikishima kenichi

Rock enjoyed a lengthy career as an actor due to his numerous flaws and his portrayals of the many dark aspects of human nature. Meanwhile, Kenichi is cherished as the eternal youth in Tezuka Osamu's manga. In any case, Tezuka Osamu's manga truly began with the encounter between Tezuka Osamu and young Kenichi. Kenichi was cast in the leading role in most of the early works, including "New Treasure Island," becoming the first star of Tezuka Osamu's manga. He keenly observed the world, consistently thoughtful and never neglecting kindness, embodying the conscientiousness and purity of "childhood days." Later, the manga world started focusing on "realities that couldn't be conveyed through simple integrity." Due to the necessity of existing as outsiders from human society, main characters like Atom developed other facets to their personalities beyond innocent righteousness. Tezuka Osamu himself remarked, "I had to remove Kenichi from his protagonist role because he lacked individuality." Just as people often feel embarrassed by their childlike sense of fairness upon reaching adulthood, the manga world forgot Kenichi as it struggled to mature. Nevertheless, no matter how grown up or adult our faces become, our "childhood days" live forever in our hearts, and similarly, Kenichi continued to make straightforward appearances as the "righteous boy" who occasionally shows up in Tezuka Osamu's manga.
