Not much is known about the High School Principal, but he is one of the key figures opposing the Elementary Division Principal. He harbors a deep-seated hatred towards the Elementary Principal due to his resentment over being manipulated by the academy, having had no outside contact and living within the academy since childhood. His support for Mikan and Yuka further cements his resolve to thwart the Elementary Principal's plans. Secretly, he protects Mikan, instructing Goshima to rescue her when she was captured by the academy.
In chapter 99, as Mikan, Natsume, Hotaru, Ruka, and Narumi are pursued by the Elementary School Principal, the High School Principal intervenes to help them. It is revealed that he is Mikan's uncle and the older brother of her father. He discloses the history of Mikan’s father and Yuka Azumi to her, leaving Mikan in shock. He feels immense guilt over his younger brother's death, believing it was his introduction of Izumi to the academy that led to his demise. Kazu cherished his younger brother deeply.
The High School Principal possesses two Alices: one allows him to detect other people's Alices upon sight, whether in person or through photographs, and the other grants him longevity, enabling him to live a long life without showing signs of aging. Due to his unique abilities, he is revered as a "god" within the academy.
