Kazumi is Yuuji's classmate. She harbors feelings for him but lacks the courage to express her emotions directly. However, witnessing Shana's affection towards Yuuji bolsters her confidence and prompts her to be more forthright in her pursuit. She announces her intention to confess her love, igniting a rivalry with Shana.
In the second season, Pheles bestows upon Kazumi a cross-shaped Hougu. This artifact can summon Pheles if Yuuji, also known as Johan, faces any peril. Activating it would deplete all of Kazumi's existence powers. Later, Yuuji takes her to Seireiden where she serves as a catalyst in a ritual aimed at reversing the effects of Khamsin's Tuning. When Shana, Wilhelmina, Chiara, Sale, and the three remaining members of The Four Gods of Earth arrive at Seireiden, they find Kazumi understanding her role. She activates Giralda, leading to her own existence fading away.
