The renowned daughter of Dobaba and member of the Keroro Platoon, she frequently finds herself in perilous situations, only to be rescued by her comrades. She first appeared alongside her childhood friend, Taruru, until he joined the Garuru Platoon and was replaced by her best friend, Chiroro.
Her father arranged a marriage for her against her wishes, prompting her to flee Keron, apparently with Chiroro, and come to Earth. Karara is a green Keronian tadpole with a symbol of a circle with a line through it. She was temporarily enlisted as a Private Third Class in the Keroro Platoon but caused trouble and was saved by Tamama from her father, who tried to punish her for disobedience by killing her.
Karara developed feelings of love towards Tamama, Dororo, and Giroro, even attempting to marry Kululu at one point. She was kidnapped but was later rescued by Dororo, who gifted her a sword (Chiroro received one too). When freed from its chain, the sword transforms her into ninja attire complete with a white scarf and a silver mask over her eyes.
She aided the Keroro Platoon in rescuing Chiroro from Viper, only to be taken hostage by Keroro, who was disguised in a Viper Pekopon Suit. A reformed Viper grabbed Keroro, allowing Dororo to destroy the suit with his "Blade of the Phoenix" attack. Karara landed in Giroro's arms, causing her to fall in love with him while Keroro was arrested.
While entertaining the angry 753, Keroro gave advice to Karara and Chiroro, helping them turn 753 back to normal. Consequently, she also fell in love with Keroro.
