Dragonite is a dragon-like, bipedal reptilian Pokémon with light orange skin. It has large, grayish-green eyes and a round snout with tiny nostrils. Two long, thin antennae emerge from the top of its head, with a small horn positioned between them. Its striated underbelly is cream-colored, stretching from its neck to the tip of its elongated, tapering tail. Dragonite has thick arms and legs, each ending in three claws. The joints on its legs are well-defined, whereas its arms have a smooth, rounded appearance. Its wings are relatively small compared to its body, featuring teal-colored membranes.
Despite its bulky build, Dragonite can fly faster than the speed of sound and complete a global circuit in just sixteen hours. This kindhearted Pokémon possesses human-like intelligence and displays altruistic behavior, such as rescuing drowning humans and guiding lost or struggling ships to safety. However, as shown in the anime, it can go on an uncontrollable, destructive rampage if its environment is threatened. After demolishing whatever angered it, Dragonite usually calms down and becomes content. It is known to engage in fierce battles with Kingdra whenever they encounter each other. Dragonite has been called the "sea guardian" and the "Sea Incarnate"; thus, many ships feature figureheads adorned with Dragonite's likeness. Drayden has mentioned that Dragonite's power can influence the weather.
Dragonite is extremely rare in the wild, typically residing near the sea. Some believe there is an island somewhere in the ocean inhabited solely by Dragonite.
Evolution
Dragonite evolves from Dragonair and represents the final form of Dratini.
