Snorlax is a massive, bipedal, dark blue-green mammalian Pokémon featuring a cream-colored face, belly, and feet. Its body is predominantly its large belly, with relatively small limbs. It has a sizable head with tiny, pointed ears and two fangs extending from its lower jaw. The Pokémon’s round feet each have three claws and a circular brown paw pad, while its short arms are equipped with five claws on each hand. Snorlax's considerable bulk makes it the heaviest Normal-type Pokémon.
Snorlax is commonly found in mountainous and forested areas. It awakens primarily to eat, consuming around 900 lbs (400 kg) of food daily before returning to sleep. Interestingly, it can also eat while resting. Snorlax isn’t picky about its diet; its robust stomach allows it to consume even moldy food without adverse effects. It can digest thorny plants or even withstand Muk’s poison. Children and smaller Pokémon can playfully bounce on its large belly due to its docile nature. Despite its seemingly lazy demeanor, Snorlax can demonstrate remarkable strength when necessary. Known for appearing unexpectedly in villages and raiding their food supplies, such as rice granaries, Snorlax’s presence often causes significant distress.
Forms
Snorlax possesses a Gigantamax form. In this state, seeds and small pebbles caught in its belly fur undergo tremendous growth, leading to grass patches, bushes, rocks, and a large tree sprouting on its belly. The tree features three red clouds circling it. Among the Berries growing on Gigantamax Snorlax’s tree are Sitrus, Magost, and Haban Berries.
Gigantamax Snorlax rarely moves; even during battles, it only slightly lifts its body to attack by flailing its arms and legs. However, these attacks are incredibly powerful—Gigantamax Snorlax is recognized as one of the strongest Dynamax Pokémon discovered.
Evolution
Snorlax evolves from Munchlax.
