Though his exact age is unknown, he was already an adult when the Keroro platoon were still kids. He frequently offers advice to them whenever he appears in an episode, though most find his advice confusing. Every time he is about to give advice, he gets a footstool, places his foot on it, and rubs his chin with his thumb and index finger. He is a good friend to Keroro and always tries to help him, although he often fails. Once, Keroro attempted to live with him, hoping for a carefree life, but it turned out to be a form of torture. Dororo (formerly Zeroro) had a particular fondness for Joriri and was the only one who could understand his advice. Giroro and Keroro, on the other hand, never quite grasped his sayings. Interestingly, Keroro, Giroro, and Dororo all laughed when Joriri's name was mentioned. Giroro was also one of his friends. When Joriri temporarily joined the platoon, he became Tamama's junior. Initially, Tamama hated him and couldn't understand anything he said. However, later on, Joriri defended Tamama during a fight, which changed their relationship.
