Ikaruga is a member of the Trinity Raven, a group commanded by Jellal from Death's Head Caucus. Her appearance resembles that of a geisha, but her abilities are more akin to those of a samurai. Ikaruga has the capability to cut through almost anything. Additionally, she enjoys creating a dramatic atmosphere with her poetic manner of speech.
She confronted Shou as he attempted to escape from the Tower of Paradise with Erza, who was in card form at the time. Ikaruga attacked them unexpectedly. Fortunately, her attacks distorted the power around the card holding Erza, enabling Erza to break free and confront Ikaruga. Erza utilized all types of her armors against her, but each was sliced to pieces by Ikaruga's blade. Eventually, Erza was left with only a pair of pants around her waist and cloth covering her upper body. Ikaruga believed victory was within her grasp, and they clashed. To her surprise, Erza managed to deliver a fatal blow and defeat her.
While their fates were not revealed in the manga, the anime shows that she and other members of the Trinity Raven managed to fly away from the Tower of Heaven.
