Charmander is a bipedal, reptilian Pokémon with an orange body and blue eyes. Its underside from the chest down and the soles of its feet are cream-colored. It has two small fangs in its upper jaw and two smaller ones in its lower jaw. A fire burns at the tip of its slender tail, present since birth. The flame reflects Charmander's health and mood: bright when strong, weak when tired, wavering when happy, and blazing when angry. It's believed that Charmander would perish if its flame went out. However, if healthy, the flame will continue to burn even if wet, reportedly steaming in the rain.
Charmander can be found in hot, mountainous areas, though it is more commonly seen under the care of Trainers. As depicted in Pokémon Snap and New Pokémon Snap, Charmander shows pack behavior, calling others of its kind when food is found, and watching each other’s tail flames to ensure they don't extinguish.
Evolution
Charmander evolves into Charmeleon, which then evolves into Charizard.
