hild

Hild (ヒルド Hirudo?) is a character in the anime and manga series Oh My Goddess! She is known as the ultimate demon in Hell, referred to as the Daimakaichō (Great Demon Leader or Ruler of Demonkind in the dub), and is also the mother of Urd, whom she affectionately calls "Urd-chan" (or "Urdie" in the dub). Hild's power far surpasses that of the combined strength of the three goddesses.

In the manga, she first appears in volume 21. In the first season of the anime, she is only seen in shadow, once during a flashback by Urd and another time in the credits for the final episode of the TV series. It isn't until the second season that she makes her full appearance, specifically in episode seventeen.

Later on, Hild leaves behind an avatar, a child version of herself, who becomes a regular antagonist for the goddesses and a direct supervisor for Marller. Although this avatar possesses only one-thousandth of Hild's true power, it remains a formidable adversary for anyone who faces it.
