Goten is a fictional character from the manga and anime series Dragon Ball Z and also appears in Dragon Ball GT. He is the second son of Son Goku and Chi-Chi. Goten is a Human-Saiyan hybrid, similar to his older brother Son Gohan.
Son Goten's natural physique closely resembles his father Goku's, although his appearance, such as hairstyle and clothing, changes over time. Goten is often seen wearing an outfit that mirrors his father's, with minor differences. In the later episodes of Dragon Ball Z, his hair grows longer and he wears a blue and white shirt with his name printed on it. In Dragon Ball GT, he sports a white shirt with purple jeans and shorter hair. His skin tone remains lightly tanned throughout all his appearances in Dragon Ball Z/GT. Unlike his brother, Goten is never shown to have a tail, though this is never explained.
In Dragon Ball Online, which takes place 216 years after Dragon Ball Z and had significant creative input from Akira Toriyama, it is mentioned that in Age 800, Goten and Present Day Trunks founded the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School.
