Graveler is a bipedal, boulder Pokémon. Its round body is covered with small bumps, and it has a rocky crest above its tiny eyes and mouth. It features four arms, each equipped with a three-fingered hand. The second pair of arms usually rests against its chest. In Pokémon Snap, it was revealed that despite having legs, Graveler can transform into a legless form, enabling it to float.
Graveler's preferred mode of movement is rolling because it walks slowly. It frequently rolls down mountain paths at speeds surpassing 60 mph, crushing anything in its path and halting by crashing into large rocks if it gains too much momentum. However, if it rolls into water, it will explode. Graveler is generally carefree and indifferent, not minding if parts of itself break off, as it can regenerate over time. It climbs mountains from base to summit, eating rocks along the way. Moss-covered rocks are its favorite food. It consumes tons of mossy rocks and makes loud noises while eating. Upon reaching the peak, it rolls back down to the bottom. Graveler live in horizontal burrows they carve out in sheer cliff faces, able to withstand volcanic temperatures.
Forms
Graveler has a regional form: Alolan Graveler. In the Alola region, Graveler looks similar to its regular counterpart but with a silvery sheen. It lacks distinct fingers on its upper limbs and has two toes on each foot instead of three. Small, yellowish crystals are scattered across its body, along with iron sand attracted by magnetism. This black sand forms crystal-like structures above its eyes, atop the upper pair of arms, and on the sides of its face.
Alolan Graveler has a very quick-tempered personality. It feeds on dravite, which creates the yellow crystals on its body and gives it electrical abilities. It often fights with others over food, and when two collide, they create a flash of light and a booming sound; hence, people refer to it as "the fireworks of the earth." Similar to its Kantonian counterpart, Alolan Graveler rolls down mountain paths, but instead of flattening obstacles, it sends them flying by zapping them with electricity.
Evolution
Graveler evolves from Geodude and evolves into Golem. Alolan Graveler is a dual-type Rock/Electric regional form. It evolves from Alolan Geodude and evolves into Alolan Golem.
