Ferio is a warrior whom the Magic Knights first encounter in the Forest of Silence. A formidable young man wielding a sword taller than himself, he soon develops a soft spot for Fuu, which by the second season has blossomed into love. Despite his tough exterior, he struggles with being completely honest, making it difficult for the heroines to trust him. In the anime, Ferio gives Fuu a jewelled orb (in the manga, he presents her with a ring identical to the one on his ear). Fuu loses it when the trio returns to Tokyo in the first series but receives it again in the second series when they come back. Since Ferio possesses an identical orb, he uses it to communicate with her throughout the first series. During the first season of the anime, Ferio pretends to join Ascot, Lord Zagato's child summoner, who sets a trap for the Magic Knights using his sound-sensitive monster, Pajero. Additionally, while the Magic Knights confront Inouva's true form, Ferio regains memories from his youth. He realizes he is Princess Emeraude's only younger brother and hears her voice through his own orb, instructing him on how to defeat Inouva. Ferio relays this information to the Knights, enabling them to vanquish their foe. In the OVA, Ferio initially appears as a villain capable of summoning and controlling swarms of insects. He seems to have a close relationship with Ascot, and in a twist to his original character, he battles Fuu as the antagonist. After eavesdropping on Lantis' conversation with Hikaru and the others, he assists Lantis in fighting Cephiro's spirits and later delivers Lantis' sword to the combined Mashin to help them battle Eagle. Ferio's name originates from the Honda Civic Ferio, and Ascot's monster from the episode featuring Ferio is named after the Mitsubishi Pajero. (Source: Wikipedia)
