Eve is an artificial human created as the first in a line of super soldiers. Her DNA has been fused with nanomachines, granting her the ability to alter her body's shape and genetic makeup. Raised to be emotionless, she often finds normal experiences novel and unfamiliar.
In the anime, Eve first encounters Sven and Train when Sven attempts to rescue her. Meanwhile, Chronos sends Train to eliminate her and destroy all related research data. This decision to spare her life becomes one of the reasons Train leaves the organization. In contrast, in the manga, Eve first meets Train and Sven while they are working as sweepers to capture Torneo Rudman. Train was never sent by Chronos in the manga version. Eve is rescued by Sven and Train, who prevent Torneo from making her go berserk. She then joins Sven and Train.
At the start of the anime series, Eve is wary of Train, claiming he smells like blood. She gives Train the bell he wears around his neck after reading that bells can help locate a troublesome cat. In the manga, Train already has his choker bell chain. Over time, they develop a rivalry for the position of being Sven’s partner, and Train affectionately calls her "Little Princess."
Eve enjoys reading books of varying difficulty levels. She can memorize any book after reading it once, often confusing others by using complex vocabulary she has learned. The more she learns, the more refined her transformation abilities become.
