Aquarius Dégel is the Aquarius Gold Saint in Lost Canvas. He holds the title of the "wisest among Athena's Saints" within the Sanctuary. Dégel is uniquely distinguished as the only individual, apart from the Great Pope, capable of reading and interpreting the stars. His demeanor is characterized by calmness and politeness. He possesses his own personal library and is notably the only saint who wears glasses.
He first appears in the story questioning Sysyphus about the Great Pope. Dégel was already aware that Sage was dead and that the person who had invaded Hades Cathedral was not Sage but his brother, Hakurei, who had donned the Pope's attire.
