In Gundam SEED, Dearka is part of the Le Creuset team that attacks Heliopolis. He becomes the pilot of the captured Buster Gundam. Like his teammate Yzak Jule, Dearka is the son of a PLANT Supreme Council member, and they share a similar arrogant attitude. However, unlike Yzak, Dearka tends to express his disdain for Naturals and weaklings through sarcastic remarks.

In Gundam SEED Destiny, after defecting to the Archangel during the previous war, Dearka rejoins the ZAFT forces but is demoted due to his disobedience. He no longer wears the uniform of an elite ZAFT Red. Despite this, his combat skills remain exceptional, and he provides crucial support to his former partner Yzak as part of the Jule Team.
