Damiano is a young enlisted soldier who had been transferred to the Daliha region of Ishval and into Major Roy Mustang's unit just a few days before the end of the Ishval Civil War. Despite his brief deployment, Damiano developed a deep respect for his commanding officer, who consistently worked to keep his men safe from harm. Seven years after the war, Damiano continues to serve as a soldier in the East Area of Amestris, now under Lieutenant General Grumman's command. When he learns that his former commander is planning a coup d'etat in Central City to eliminate government corruption, Damiano and his old squad-mates eagerly volunteer to return to the field and assist in the endeavor.
