dai kaioshin

Dai Kaioshin (大界王神; lit. "Grand God King of the Worlds"), or Daikaioh in the FUNimation dub, is the supreme Kaioshin who ruled over the entire universe before the events of the series. His tale is recounted through East Kaioshin's flashback. In the manga, he appears in just one panel, but the anime elaborates further on his background.

When Majin Buu arrives on the planet, Dai Kaioshin saves East Kaioshin from Buu's assault and retaliates with a powerful attack that disintegrates Buu into pieces. However, moments later, Dai Kaioshin is absorbed by Buu. After this absorption, Buu transforms into a form strikingly similar to Dai Kaioshin. This "fat" Buu continues to exhibit traces of Dai Kaioshin's spirit within him, eventually befriending Mr. Satan. The presence of Dai Kaioshin within Buu helps to pacify the creature.
