Allen's teacher, a scientist, and one of the five Exorcist Generals. At the beginning of the story, he embarked on a journey and ceased communication with headquarters for four years. Allen fears him, as most of his flashbacks involving his teacher end in some form of traumatizing, often humorous, experience. He has a habit of accumulating debt and making Allen work it off.
It is revealed by Bookman that Cross possesses the unique ability to convert Akuma, compelling them to follow his orders. The method of conversion remains unknown. Additionally, it is believed that Marian can control Noah's Ark, an ability supposedly granted by a traitor within the Noah family who was later killed by the Earl. Whether this hypothesis is correct remains uncertain. The Earl seems genuinely concerned about Marian.
Marian is the only Exorcist with two Anti-Akuma weapons. His first weapon, "Grave of Maria," is a parasitic-type weapon housed in a woman's corpse, serving only Master Cross. His second weapon, "Judgment," is a massive revolver gun and Cross's personal Anti-Akuma weapon. Currently, Cross is missing after discussing his connection to the 14th with Allen.
