An old man who documents the hidden history, he hails from the Bookman clan and doesn't have a personal name. Instead, he introduces himself simply as "Bookman" when he first meets Allen. Lavi accompanies him during his appearance in the manga. He refers to Allen as "The Destroyer of Time," believing Allen is the only one capable of defeating the Earl of Millennium. Bookman notes that a "Bookman" does not place himself on the front lines; he just happens to be aligned with the Black Order. His anti-Akuma weapon is called Heaven Compass (天針), a set of acupuncture needles. One of his techniques is "Needles of Spells: North Crime" (呪縛の針 「北ノ罪」), which attacks the target with thousands of needles. His Innocence can also be employed defensively with "Needles of Divine Protection: East Crime" (加護の針「東ノ罪」), where the needles encircle the target to shield it from external assaults. Additionally, he possesses some healing abilities through acupuncture.
