Chi-Chi is the wife of Son Goku and the mother of Son Gohan and Son Goten. Often portrayed as a nagging yet well-meaning woman, she deeply cares for her family’s well-being, even when their views differ. Chi-Chi first meets Goku as children, where he promises to marry her, mistakenly thinking marriage is a type of food. Years later, at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai, they reunite, and despite his initial misunderstanding, Goku fulfills his promise and proposes to her.
As she grows older, Chi-Chi disapproves of Goku's lifestyle and tries to prevent Gohan from following in his footsteps. However, due to threats like Vegeta and Freeza, she reluctantly allows Gohan to train under Piccolo and Goku. With Goten, she takes a more hands-on approach, training him herself while Gohan is away at school.
Chi-Chi has a fiery temper and can react violently over minor annoyances, causing all the Z Warriors to fear her and avoid making her angry.
