Bull's only appearance was in episode 39 of Mobile Suit Gundam. He is initially shown meeting Admiral Gihren Zabi after returning from Jupiter. Gihren suspects that Challia might be a Newtype and believes his abilities could greatly benefit Zeon. Bull was assigned to work under Kycilia Zabi and was sent to Granada, where he operated the Braw Bro. Kycilia speculated that based on his abilities, Challia might have been considered as a replacement for Lalah Sune as the pilot of the Elmeth mobile armor.
The Braw Bro then headed out and stationed itself on Char's Zanzibar, where Challia met both Char and Lalah. Later, Bull piloted the Braw Bro in battle against the Earth Federation's RX-78-2 Gundam, flown by fellow Newtype pilot Amuro Ray. The battle lasted just under 10 minutes before the Braw Bro was destroyed, resulting in Bull's death.
