Jimmy Firecracker is the ZTV announcer who provided a play-by-play commentary during the Cell Games. He is portrayed as an extremely biased and partisan interviewer. At the start of the Cell Games, he firmly believes that Mr. Satan is the strongest being on the planet and dismisses the Z Fighters, particularly Goku, after Goku warns Mr. Satan about the potential danger from Cell.
Despite his flaws, Jimmy Firecracker demonstrates bravery by being one of the few individuals courageous enough to cover the Cell Games, despite the inherent risks. He even attempts to interview Cell personally but backs off when Cell refuses to speak to him. Although gullible like most of Earth's population, Firecracker seems to reassess his opinion about Mr. Satan and the Z Fighters after the tournament, taking some time to believe Mr. Satan's claim that he defeated Cell single-handedly.
In the original Japanese version of the manga and anime, the character is unnamed and referred to only as the "Cell Games Announcer."
