Bulma's unnamed mother is the wife of Dr. Briefs. She has a keen interest in flirting with Goku and Vegeta. In the anime, she expresses her desire to go on a date with both Vegeta and Goku. When Vegeta was offered a place to stay by Bulma shortly after he had tried to kill the Z Fighters, he was taken aback by Bulma's mother's warm welcome; the shock of someone being so pleasant to him almost overwhelmed him.
Not much is known about her, but in the anime, she is perpetually cheerful and is portrayed as a stereotypical blonde airhead who enjoys shopping and indulging in expensive cakes. Throughout the series, she appears to never age and still looks as youthful as when she was first introduced at the beginning of Dragon Ball.
Her real name remains unknown, but Akira Toriyama has mentioned that if he were to give her a name, it would be "Panchi," a pun on the word "panties."
