Bobby is an engineer stationed at Fort Briggs, working under the command of Major General Armstrong.
When other engineers start hearing strange noises coming from the large pipelines on the fort's lowest level, Bobby is called in to assess the situation. He correctly deduces that the sounds are not originating from inside the pipes but are instead the noise of digging from beneath the fort.
He narrowly escapes when the Homunculus Sloth emerges from the ground.
